but before that, some batik painting @ Pusat Kraftangan (Craft Centre).

batik painting is not as hard as it seems, the outlines are made of wax so very easy to handle. the only hard part was trying to blend the colours.

ok time for lunch!
the restaurant, or rather the HOUSE that sold Beggar's chicken was just down the road. haha yes, the oh-so-famous restaurant was in someone's house. lol welcome to malaysia.

from left to right: huge duck, fake fish, and chicken remnants.

other dishes: oatmeal prawns, ngo-hiong, tanghun, pork leg.

the soup is literally cooked in the melon and you can scrape the sides.
ok so i'm a lousy foodie, i only know how to eat =P i forgot to get the name and address of the place, but if you're interested do let me know! it's somewhere along Danga Bay and reservations for the dishes (yes, the ingredients have to be reserved) must be made 2 days in advance.
the whole chicken is about RM33 while the rest of the 6 dishes added up to a total RM273 meal for 11 of us. not too bad i guess?
and if you must know, the batik painting is RM15 per piece, exclusive of framing haha.
