trip to japan!haha for us it certainly felt like mini-nihon at The Japanese School @ Changi. honestly, the title "Summer Festival" on the $2 tickets had made it seem like some small-fry primary school event. but we were wrong!
ok besides the incessant rain to dampen our spirits, take a look at the crowd when we got off the shuttle bus.

seems alright? but wait, that's not even near the entrance yet.

ok, nearing now.. mind you, we were in the ADVANCED ticket queue. ironically, the SLOW ticket queue seemed faster lol.

testing the camera before going in.

catch a glimpse of the entrance alr. almost there!

and you thought that was bad, look at this.
but this was strangely also the reason why we somehow by-passed all entrance booths (unknowingly of cos) and entered the fun-fair without showing our tickets hehe..

hungry, so we started on our first snack..Takopachi and takoyaki!
not forgetting that we were on a tight budget..not cos we weren't willing to spend. but cos both of us had forgotten to withdraw cash before that lol.

skinz and the very interesting drink he was 代言ing for. it's the first time i ever seen or even heard of it - it's called ラムネ (Ra-mu-ne) ..there's a seal with a glass marble in the bottle that stops the drink from flowing out before we POP the marble down. cool!

see the marble? -clink clink-

i also want to be 代言人! but then..

why can't even open?!?!

saw some guys licking this apple-thinggie on a chopstick but we didn't really find the stall in the end. there's just too many things to try and too little time (and money lol). and the queues were frakingggg long.

but we found Broiled noodle and egg! tasted quite like prata except with ham flakes.

i swear i shared my food..!!

hot dog with chilli and mustard, tasted great hehe. didn't seem like our ordinary sausage somehow.

一人一半!

at the outer compounds of the school there were tables laid, though not very useful since all were wet from the rain.
i like this pic, i look like the centre of attraction huh wahaha.

after a while, we were jealous that everyone else had got their free fans. so we decided to go back to the entrance to chop our tickets and redeem the fans haha.

at 8pm, the entire place still looked like this. there was food, drinks, games, ornaments, toys, clothes, health products..queue, queues and more queues!

but nothing could stop me from getting my cotton candy! muahaha.

absolutely nothing...

but i shared it with skinz! lol evidence.

tired from all the walking, we headed to the hall for some performances. came in just in time to watch people doing the mass dance. it was heartening to see most of them dressed in
yukatas, which we would have loved to rent also if the queues didn't look like hell! haha nvm, we'll be back again next year!

while people were dancing, we spotted a little prince having fun in his own world..

and so were we lol.

the place looked beautiful with lighted lanterns. was a pity the rain dimmed the outdoor atmosphere..

time to go!
the day ended with supper at 179 hehe. super shagged now..but felt so relaxed and young and HAPPY. really glad we came on this trip despite the bad weather. ILUD!! =]
