pro-eff-sor.
i'll cut the long story short. this morning while we were training seriously at one corner, a crazy fat man walked towards us, or rather, walked beside us, in between us, all over us with his bongo drum and started beating his drum at us and screaming and whistling at the same time like some tribal freak. screaming and whistling and beating the drum like some tribal freak. yes, can you picture that?
i admit that we are always pushing our time limit overboard, starting too early at times cos we dont have enough time to train. but we've been ending right on time for many months since your complaints. today was a miscommunication, we all thought we could start at 10am, but our permit was actually for 10.30am. so we started training too early, and woke you up from your beastly sleep. true, we were at fault, but did you let us apologize? NO. you just did your thing and tried to disrupt our training. and while we were very successful at ignoring you, you got even more pissed when our drums and cymbals overshadowed your lousy western bongo drum. oh sorry, you corrected us, its AFRICAN. i don't give a fucking damn even if your wife is chinese. if you cant accept the culture here, then get lost, move out. if you're so rich, dont stay in school, get a condo outside where it's quiet enough for you.
i can understand why he was angry, i understand his plight and i feel sorry too. but what he did was totally uncalled for, barbaric, uneducated and definitely unforgivable. we explained, and said sorry. and when we told him that what he did was so dangerous for our people (because the guys were on the 1.65m narrow bridge and could fall off anytime since he was distracting them). but what did he say? he said my president was rude and challenging him. shit you. my president was trying to protect our safety..if you cant even accept that, then you shouldn't be an educator.
most infuriating of all, he was so damn rude to our coach. he called him a liar when this had nothing to do with him at all! i cant believe ivan's temper was so good. even worse, i cant believe what he said to me.
Me: "Honestly, sir, i think what you did just now was wrong. If you want to complain next time, may i suggest you approach any one of us and talk to us. What you did just now was rude and uncalled for, we didnt even know what you were doing. And my coach is a professional from outside of school, i think he deserves some respect from you too. "
Him: "No! i don't think so. I'll think about it and see whether he deserves it or not."
i know today's the first time i talked back to someone of such high calibre, but i dont regret it. i feel sorry for ivan, and sorry for my president. im going to do what it takes to prevent him from doing his nonsense again, and i'll never let him humiliate us that way ever again.
